Britney Spears

It looks like Britney's back to her fine-bodied best with her new music video 'Womanizer'

The raunchy ex-Mickey Mouse Club girl monpolised every boy's fantasy with the 'Baby One More Time' video when she was just 16. She then upped the kinkiness for later videos 'Toxic' and 'I'm A Slave 4 U', snogged Madonna and gave 'top drawer' live performances in her, um, underwear. Her personal life has created relentless tabloid frenzies though, with impulse marriages, public child custody battles, reported bouts of madness and bizarre head-shavings.

For her sensational comeback. For the last several years, she's been cruelly derided in some quarters as an overweight, completely bonkers 'has-been'. Now her curvy physique has been astonishingly re-toned and fully bared for her brand new single 'Womanizer'.

Regardless of your opinion, Britney is and always will be a pop phenomenon. Read More......

Britney Returns Home With Her Sons

Britney Spears flew to her her family home in Kentwood, Louisiana on Friday with her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. The trip marked the first time she's been allowed to take the boys out of California since losing a custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline earlier this year.

The pop princess reportedly left from Van Nuys, California, on a private plane at 10:30 AM on Friday, accompanied by her children and her father, Jamie Spears.

It's reportedly the boys' first trip to Serenity, the Spears family home, and Brit's planning on making the most of it, using the trip as a vacation before promoting her latest album, "Circus." It's also a chance a chance for Sean and Jayden to spend some quality time with baby cousin Maddie and aunt Jamie Lynn. Read More......

Brit's Dad Will Retain Control Of Her Affairs

A court commissioner has granted Jamie Spears a permanent conservatorship over his daughter Britney's personal and financial affairs.

Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz granted Jamie Spears a permanent conservatorship over his daughter on Tuesday afternoon. A court-appointed attorney for Spears says the singer does not object to the arrangement.

The move came after a lengthy closed-chambers meeting, and follows a recent medical evaluation of the 26-year-old singer. Jamie Spears has had control over his daughter's affairs since February after she had several high-profile incidents of erratic behavior and a pair of hospitalizations. Read More......

Britney Spears Gets Physical

In case you haven't noticed, Britney Spears has been looking pretty good lately. Her love of dance was key in helping her get back into shape, and now the mom of two reportedly wants to release a series of workout videos to help her fans get fit as well.
A source close to Brit told Bill Zwecker of the Chicago Sun-Times that the pop star's love of dance was key in helping her get back into shape, and now the mom of two reportedly wants to release a series of workout videos to help her fans get fit as well. The "Womanizer" singer was apparently inspired when she stumbled upon some of her mother Lynne's old Jane Fonda exercise tapes. She "popped them into an old VCR machine and got a big kick out of watching them."

Although Spears' people wouldn't confirm that such a deal was in place, the concept doesn't sound all that far-fetched. A rep for the Britney's Jive/Zomba label agrees, saying, "The idea makes perfect sense, given Britney is a singer who uses dance so much in her act."

Artists and Cover Songs!

There’s no finer way in music to pay homage to an inspiration than the time-honored cover song. The Rolling Stones, Beatles, and Led Zeppelin essentially began their careers as glorified cover bands (or rip-off artists, depending on who you ask) before graduating to having their songs remade by everyone from Tiffany to Billy Joel, Bette Midler, Stone Temple Pilots, and Hootie & The Blowfish.

Which brings us to Korn’s Jonathan Davis. See, once upon a time, Korn were the leaders of the so-called “nu metal” brigade, a horde of frustrated boys who loved hip-hop and metal and decided to stick their Black Sabbath-inspired white chocolate into some gangsta peanut butter, essentially ruining two genres at once. All fun and games, until Davis recently dropped his latest homage, a retread of Lil’ Wayne’s still-fresh “Got Money,” a bouncy clubber in which Davis cranks up the robotic AutoTune vocals and paints himself as some kind of flossy, flashy strip-club-alien lothario from the hood (assuming there is a hood in Bakersfield, California).

CELINE DION

I could probably pick just about any of Canadian power elf Celine Dion’s covers and throw it on the fire, but her gender-switching decimation of AC/DC’s “You Shook Me All Night Long” is one of those car-crash horror shows that makes you unsure if you first want to gouge out your eyes or stick needles in your ears, or just do both at the same.

PUSSYCAT DOLLS

“Tainted Love” is a great 1964 song that already survived a 1981 Soft Cell cover, which has actually become more popular than the original, and barely escaped with its life in 2001 when Marilyn Manson put his goth stink on it. And then the Pussycat Dolls dragged it through their cat box of horrible vocals and over-emoting in 2005, turning it into a pole-dancing anthem that went from reeking of heartbreak to just kind of, well, skanky.

LIMP BIZKIT

Speaking of Durst, which is something I try to avoid, his band Limp Bizkit’s grunged-up slog through The Who’s “Behind Blue Eyes” tried to get all emo, but I suspect the only reason they wanted to do it was so Fred could sing the line, “No one knows what it’s like to be hated.” Oh, and kiss Halle Berry in the video. Two legitimate reasons, actually. Otherwise, it feels like a home demo from a shut-in teen who just learned how to play his acoustic guitar. Again, if you’re going to cover a song, put your mojo on it, even if your mojo amounts to unnecessary beats, terrible rapping, and gratuitous scratching.

BRITNEY SPEARS

Picking on Britney Spears is kind of like shooting Cheetos-eating fish in a barrel, but her cover of the made-famous-by Joan Jett song “I Love Rock ’N Roll” does exactly what it should: adds gratuitous scratching, unnecessary beats, kewpie-doll vocals, and the least rock arrangement ever. Britney, c’mon, you don’t love rock ’n’ roll — you probably don’t even know how to spell it! Bonus fact: Britney thought it was Pat Benatar who made the song famous. Classic!

P. DIDDY

Back when he was still called Puff Daddy, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs somehow persuaded Jimmy Page to perform on a cover of Led Zeppelin’s classic “Kashmir,” retitled “Come With Me,” which was featured on the 1998 Godzilla soundtrack. OK, technically it’s not a straight cover, but it’s every bit as bad as you imagine.

Britney's New Single Bumped Back

Britney Spears' record label has pushed back the release of her new single, "Womanizer," in order to perfect her highly-anticipated comeback track.
"Womanizer," the first single from the pop princess' sixth studio album, has been pushed back in order to finalize the audio mix, a rep for Jive Records told Access Hollywood.
The single was previously due for release on Monday, Sept. 22. A new release date has not been revealed, though Brit will reportedly perform the song in December on Simon Cowell's U.K. reality show, "The X Factor."

Britney Spears earns spot in record book!

I'm sure that Britney Spears would agree that, philosophically speaking, when one door closes, another opens--and I don't just mean driver-side car doors, either. There is a certain symmetry to finding out that, on the high heels of her successful (as in no one got hurt) appearance on MTV's Video Music Awards show a little over a week ago, the release of Spears' new CD has just been bumped up to an "Xmas stocking stuffer purchase opp" date of December 2--which just happens to be Brit's birthday.

Now it probably should be noted that the new CD, entitled Circus, reportedly is not completely finished yet. And with the kind of track record Britney's had over the last few years, her label Jive Records must be pretty darned sure it'll be ready; either that or they've got a great insurance policy. In any event, Spears does seem to be in good, capable creative hands--or at the very least a good, capable small army of them. Working on the project are everyone from the Outsyders (who produced the first single "Womanizer," coming 9/22 to a ringtone near you), Keri Hilson, Sean Garrett, Rodney Jenkins, Guy Sigsworth, Dr. Luke, and Lil' Jon, and Nate "Danjahandz" Hills, to such past Brit content providers as Bloodshy & Avant ("Toxic," "Piece Of Me") and Max Martin ("Oops," "Baby One More Time"). One way or another, one presumes, that sucker will be out the door on time.

Of course, when it comes to Britney Spears, it is all about the buzz, isn't it? And proof of that comes with another (non-paparazzi-lensed) Britney flash--this time from none other than the Guinness Records people, who've just announced they're naming Spears "The Most Searched Person On The Internet" in the new 2009 Guinness Book Of World Records. Having not seen the book (it's out on 9/17), I can't tell you how they might quantify that assertion (and are there subdivisions for categories like, say, "holding clippers," or "driving over feet"?). Suffice it to say, however, that the proclamation comes with the telling additional info that Britney, who previously "won" the title in 2007, has reclaimed it from last year's champ: none other the uniquely and immensely Internet-searchable Paris Hilton.

Britney Nabs Three MTV VMA Awards

It took a year, but Britney Spears got the comeback she was seeking from the MTV Video Music Awards -- and she didn't even have to sing or dance.

- LOS ANGELES — No Madonna kiss. No Michael Jackson cameo. No flying Howard Stern. Not even a Kanye tantrum.

MTV has set a high standard for the unexpected at its Video Music Awards, but on the show's 25th anniversary, the network instead settled for throwing its full support behind Britney Spears' comeback. Spears won a leading three awards, including video of the year for "Piece of Me."

Any spontaneity was left to host Russell Brand, the British comic whose rock star style and outlandish candor gave the Los Angeles show a pulse. But at the end of the night Sunday, even the manic and mangy Brand — a confessed former sex addict — could only summon a comic semi-feud with the young Jonas Brothers over their premarital celibacy.

But while Brand was unpredictable, witty and offensive, Spears was resolutely careful, determined to set right her pop star image. She was, after all, returning to the scene of the crime, so to speak. At last year's VMAs — Britney Comeback 1.0 — her unpolished performance was roundly disparaged.

In each acceptance speech Sunday, Spears spoke briefly, thanked God and dedicated the awards to her fans. Even while opening the show, she was all business, zipping through her few lines of introduction.

"Thank you so much," she said flatly as the crowd greeted her with a standing ovation. "Thank you for all the love."

MTV has a habit of reengineering the VMAs every year, and, true to form, took this year's show to the Paramount Studios lot in Los Angeles. After last year's awards, splashed throughout a Las Vegas hotel, MTV re-centered the action to a more traditional main stage.

The performances, though, often traveled back into the reaches of the Paramount lot. The Jonas Brothers played their song "Lovebug" on a fake building's stoop, before the set fell away and throngs of screaming fans ran down fictional city streets to surround them.

Unwittingly, the Jonas Brothers — one of the hottest young acts to the MTV audience — became the night's biggest talking point. Brand repeatedly joked about their purity rings, which each wears as a symbol of their vow not to have premarital sex. At one point, Brand brandished one as if he had won it from a Jonas brother.

"American Idol" champ — and fellow promise ring wearer — Jordin Sparks defended the brothers while presenting an award: "I just wanna say, it's not bad to wear a promise ring because not every guy and a girl wants to be a slut, OK?"

Brand was happy to apologize for any hurt feelings, but only to such a degree. After the show, he told The Associated Press, "I feel a bit bad that I kept talking about their vows to chastity and I'd like to take this opportunity to say no one ever have sex again. It's a mad idea. What a way to spend an evening."

A celebrity in England but relatively unknown in the States, Brand proved an interesting mix with the VMA crowd, who seemed unsure of how to react to his lack of political correctness. In his opening monologue, he joked about Madonna, virgins and President Bush, whom he called "that retarded cowboy fellow."

He pleaded, "Please, America, elect Barack Obama. On behalf of the world." Some in the star-studded crowd cheered, while others — like Spears — sat quietly.

The rest of the evening was mostly given to performances, many of which paired performers in unusual combinations. The prim and proper Leona Lewis joined Lil' Wayne, who later joined Kid Rock. Lil' Wayne took home the best hip hop video for "Lollipop."

T.I., who is currently serving 1,000 hours of community service and will afterward serve a year in prison for federal weapons charges, performed with Rihanna.

Closing the night was Kanye West who, like Spears, was hoping for a second chance after a disappointing VMA experience last year. In Las Vegas, he had a Kanye-sized hissy fit backstage and vowed never to appear at the VMAs again after he didn't get a Moonman trophy despite several nominations.

West again went home without an award this year; there were only eight awards in total. Videos from Chris Brown ("With You"), Linkin Park ("Shadow of the Day") and the Pussycat Dolls ("When I Grow Up") took home awards for best male video, best rock video and best dancing in a video, respectively.

Best new artist went to Tokio Hotel, while Spears' "Piece of Me" won for best female video, best pop video and video of the year.

Britney Agrees to Sole Custody for K-Fed

K-Fed's longtime attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, exclusively tells E! News the divorced duo have reached a settlement in their long-gestating custody case.

According to the agreement signed by all parties, Federline gets sole legal and physical custody of sons Sean Preston and Jayden James and Spears will have visitation rights.

"The case has been settled," Kaplan said. "The court still has to approve it. " Both parties are due in court Friday morning.

The case had been set to go to trial next month but all had been hoping to settle up beforehand.

"As of this evening there is a fully executed deal memo...All the issues that would have been addressed at trial have been settled," Kaplan told E! News. "Can't speak to the exact terms of the deal, [but the] orders in place...will stay in place."

Although this is theoretically good news for Federline, Kaplan maintains it isn't exactly what his client had in mind.

"Kevins was not [out] to get custody. Kevin's goal was to set up some kind of template so the mother of his children can coparent," Kaplan said.

"He said, 'I need to have Britney to be involved in the coparenting of the kids, but I need there to be a structure.' "

But this is the structure he got, and "Kevin is absolutely delighted," Kaplan continued.

"Nobody could have anticipated the terms of events that have occurred...This was a two-year journey that will be halted at a point that is good for these children. Custody is always modifiable. If there is a final order, it means there is nothing to try."

Spears has been enjoying monitored visits with her boys since late February after temporarily losing any on-hand-mommying privileges following a stretch of noticeably erratic behavior on her part and two brief hospital stays.

Federline's camp has credited the influence of Spears' father, Jamie, who was appointed a coconservator of his daughter's estate Feb. 1, for helping to get the 26-year-old popster back on track.

A court commissioner is scheduled to review whether to make the conservatorship permanent at the end of this month. If the arrangement were to end, what then happens to Spears' current deal?

"While I can't tell you the terms, the order does anticipate what happens if the conservatorship is ended," Kaplan told E! News. "The devil is always in the details, and this is a very detailed deal memo.

"Nobody can predict what the future will bring, but to the extent possible, I think we have really anticipated how to proceed." Read More......

PETE WENTZ INTENTO SUICIDARSE
Thu Mar 20 14:55:03 -0500 2008

Pete Wentz, integrante de la banda Fall Out Boy, recientemente hablò a MTV, sobre la vez que intentò suicidarse. "Me subì a mi carro.
